Aramas Law understand that a relationship breakdown is a stressful time for you, both emotionally and practically. Money is often tight and the cost of seeing a solicitor can be daunting.

That’s why we offer:

With us, you can be confident you’re working with the most cost-effective, understanding solicitors around. We’ll cut out the jargon and take a calm, pragmatic approach to deal with your case in a sympathetic manner. What’s more, our years of experience allow us to get the best possible result for you.

Divorce is the legal process of terminating your marriage i.e. ending the legal relationship entered into via marriage. There is only one ground for divorce in England: That the marriage has broken down, irretrievably.

The person who instigates divorce proceedings is known as the petitioner. They must prove that the marriage has irretrievably broken down on the basis of one of the follwoing:
  1. The respondent has committed adultery. A petitioner cannot cite their own adultery as a reason.
  2. The respondent has behaved unreasonably
  3. The respondent has deserted the petitioner for two years or more
  4. The parties (petitioner and respondent) have lived separately for two years or more
  5. Both parties have lived apart for over five years

Divorce is often challenging task and specialist legal advice from a family solicitor should always be sought. It is also important to note that the divorce procedure relates just to the relationship itself and is not concerned with the financial implications of the marriage breakdown.

Aramas law can take you through all aspects of the divorce process, making it less emotionally and financially stressful for you.

People sometimes deny themselves legal advice due to a fear of high legal costs. At Aramas Law we offer clear and transparent fees with no hidden extras. You will always know what you’re paying from the start. At present the fee for making a divorce application via the courts is £550. This fee is fixed and is the same for all applicants. Aramas Law can offer you a fixed fee package for your divorce, keeping you in control of your legal costs. We keep our fees at low competitive prices because we believe justice should be within financial reach of everyone.
